I paint to be in a space of silence, in my own private aesthetic realm. The time I spend in this oasis is often the best part of my day.
Watercolor is inherently dynamic. It flows and bleeds, commanding my undivided presence. Each mark made is nakedly what it is, a perfect reflection of where I was in that particular moment. Marks that feel distracted or automated mirror internal unrest. Marks that have conviction, ease, and heart speak of a singularly beautiful space of Quiet.
